Nebulous

I am unsure of what I desire out of my future. When once I meticulously set my heart and face to a pre-planned goal, now I don't know exactly what I should aim for in some matters.. To make decisions, you see, means that I forfeit certain opportunities and things (My, self, how profound that observation is...). Because of my fear, there is nothing to do but wait, as my peers seem to do and as I have been doing more and more lately.

God will put you where you are meant to be. Meanwhile, do good where you are. Do the best you can in school, do well at your job/volunteering, apply to several schools, apply for scholarships, and then everything will sort itself out. Yes, making choices will close some doors and open others. Don't be afraid - everything happens the way it is meant to be. Even if you deliberately close a door, if God means it to be open, it will open again.

Thank you, Marvin. This whole idea, too, reminds me of the discussion my class had today about Candide.. And how Voltaire thought very little of the idea that all things which happen turn out for the better. I don't think I agree 100% with Voltaire, though.

Yes, Voltaire was being sarcastic. I truly believe that everything happens for the best.
