Tired.

Little would I expect anyone to notice
Increasing quiet and sunken eyes
Sallow skin and unearthly grins
To no one but myself.
Lies. Spoken as formalities
Enough for you, they will suffice.
Sleeping only is worth the while
Shall I ever wish to wake again?


"You look tired."

Yes. Yes I do.

But I sleep; I sleep very much.

The lack of energy that dulls my eyes and gives me these glamorous dark circles is the result of a tiredness of being me.

It won't go away.

Isn't it terrible how the days you feel the most tense, or downtrodden, or out of hope, you also look the worst- which really just makes you feel even worse in general?
